Under the slogan "Kuwait is by your side," the IICO sponsored the "Support My Education" program by paying the tuition fees for 76 students at the Bir Nabala Expatriates School and Al-Iman Elementary School for Boys in Jerusalem for the 2023-2024 academic year, in collaboration with the Humanitarian Voluntary Team and the Islamic Science and Culture Committee in Palestine.

The program targeted orphaned and poor students who face financial difficulties in paying tuition fees, given the high cost of living, the scarcity of job opportunities in Jerusalem, and the overall low economic situation that the city's residents suffer from due to Israeli practices and measures.

Since the burden of tuition fees is a significant obstacle for many families, preventing them from providing basic educational needs for their children, this project was initiated to reduce the financial burden on 76 families in Jerusalem. It aims to provide educational opportunities for their children, assist them in continuing their studies, improve educational achievement, and help them achieve high academic results.

The project contributed to achieving equality among all students by enabling those who are financially unable to have the same access to education as their wealthy peers.

The program included accompanying educational and cultural activities through the Al-Iman Center for Quranic Studies and the Quran Club for Culture and Value Development, as well as the Saad Al-Din Al-Alami Literary Cultural Award for 2023/2024. This Quranic competition aimed to enhance student competition and support the Jerusalem community and cultural movement under the theme "The Noble Reciters (Al Safrah Al Barrah)". During the competition, 15 students from Jerusalem schools competed in memorizing and reciting Surah Al-Imran.

The final report of the project recommends enhancing educational opportunities by continuing to support orphaned and needy students in the next years and expanding the beneficiary base, in recognition of the difficult economic conditions in Jerusalem.

It is worth noting that the Islamic Science and Culture Committee aims to cultivate a generation of Muslims who have the qualities of a good citizen and reflect their faith in their behavior as per solid educational principles rooted in the beliefs of the nation, derived from the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
